Overview

We have the opportunity for assistant ecologists to join our team working on a fixed term basis throughout the core survey season May – October 2024.

This is an exciting opportunity for an assistant ecologist to gain practical survey and mitigation experience for a range of species and habitats. The role will involve undertaking surveys, assisting our ecologists with project management tasks and drafting ecological reports. There will be opportunities to gain experience and training in biodiversity net gain, GIS and habitat creation. We are a small team and a new business, so fully expect to get involved with all aspects of an ecological consultancy.

The role will be a mixture of home and office based, on a fixed term contract. Although this role will be seasonal to begin with, this will be reviewed at the end of the summer and a permanent role could be offered.

The ideal candidate would have:

  • A degree in ecology or related field;
  • The ability and willingness to work flexible hours and travel and stay away at survey sites in various locations across the UK;
  • Located in the South East of England;
