Water Vole Ecology and Surveying
Water voles may be encountered on sites that are near to water courses, these may be development sites or sites designated for nature conservation. They are fully protected by law and therefore it is important that ecologists and conservationists know how to survey for them, how to recognise their field signs and have a good understanding of their ecology.
This course is an introductory level self-study course that combines a ‘classroom’ session with your tutor to learn about ecology, identification, field signs and legislation then you will experience going out on a survey with the tutor on a video. The course is taught by an experienced ecologist.
