I have an exciting opportunity for a talented Senior or Principal Ecologist to join a successful multidisciplinary consultancy. The successful candidate will be involved in growing the team and assisting in business development.

Who you are:
• You’ll have a proven track record of project management
• You’ll be experienced in field work and technical reporting, as well as the mentoring of junior staff
• Be knowledgeable of the licensing process and mitigation implementation
• Be experienced in peer review and report editing
• Have a track record with local planning authorities and clients across the country
• Be a strong communicator with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships
• Applicants with protected species licences, in particular class 2 bat licences would be highly desirable

Key Responsibilities
As a Senior/Principal Ecologist you will be responsible for:
• Managing delivery and design of a range of projects and preparing tenders in accordance with budgets and deadlines
• Undertaking business development activities, including preparation of bids and proposals, as well as marketing and client development
• Liaising with internal and external parties, including colleagues, clients, contractors and stakeholders
• Providing day-to-day guidance and support to the ecology services team

Qualifications:
• A degree of postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline
• Full membership of CIEEM

Salary:
£35,000 – £40,000
