Overview

Footprint Ecology is a leading independent ecology consultancy working across the UK with specialisms in recreation, urban effects on wildlife, conservation management and bird disturbance. Our clients range from Natural England to Local Authorities and wildlife trusts – we do not work for commercial developers. We are seeking someone with experience of working with local authorities and able to take a lead on Footprint Ecology’s planning-related work. This will involve work relating to some of the most important sites for nature conservation in the UK, covering HRAs of local plans, general planning advice, mitigation strategies and a range of other projects.

We aim to provide interesting and rewarding employment in a collaborative and supportive atmosphere, allowing our employees to develop their skills and interests. We have a generous non-contributory pension scheme, profit related bonus, generous leave and a peaceful work environment in Wareham Forest.

This post is advertised as a permanent full-time position, although applications for part-time work will be considered. Our ideal candidate will work alongside the rest of the team at our Wareham office and would therefore be based in or near Dorset, or be willing to relocate. Nevertheless we are happy to consider applicants who are unable to relocate and would work remotely, with regular visits to the office.

Salary: From £30,000 to £33,000 per annum (depending on experience).
Closing date: 30 June 2020
