Salary: £23,000 to £25,000
Hours per week: 37.5

The Role:
- Undertake ecological surveys for a variety of protected species and habitats, including bats, reptiles and badgers.
- Assist with report writing for Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA) including completing desk studies and collating and analysing survey data.
- Professional liaison with clients and colleagues to organise surveys.
- Undertaking Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) roles.
- Opportunities to assist with the Environmental Consultancy department including Nutrient Balance Assessments and shadow Habitat Regulations Assessments.
- 37.5hrs per week
- Computer and survey equipment will be provided, including all necessary Personal Protective Equipment
- Temporary contract (6 months- April to October)
Requirements:
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Full driving licence.
- Previous report writing/preparation experience.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office.
- Previous experience of undertaking protected species surveys (bats in particular).
Desirable:
- Previous experience of analysing bat sound files.
- Relevant degree in Ecology or similar.
- Previous experience within an ecological consultancy.
- Experience with QGIS/ AutoCAD.
- CIEEM membership or be eligible for membership.
- Protected species licences.
