Do you want to take the first step into ecological consultancy?  We know that gaining first-hand ecological consultancy experience will make your CV stand out from the crowd and help you win that first permanent position.  We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Ecologist to join our team on a seasonal placement.  You will work on a wide range of ecological projects across the UK, gaining a fantastic mixture of field and office-based skills.

Application Closing Date: 01 May 2018 (12noon).

Interview Date: 03 May 2018 (10am).

Placement Dates: 14 May 2018 – 28 September 2018 (some flexibility maybe possible).

Salary: £14,400 (pro-rata).

Person Specification

Essential Requirements:

Positive attitude and desire to learn.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Survey experience in one or more of the following areas:
Bats
Great crested newts
Reptiles
Full driving license and access to own vehicle.
Willing to work anti-social hours and stay away from home as required.
Advantageous Requirements:

Relevant degree.
Relevant training and experience.
Previous professional survey / consultancy experience.
Protected species licenses.
Additional survey skills (e.g. birds, invertebrates, water vole, badger).
