Overview

Ecosulis are looking for ecologists with experience undertaking various protected species surveys to help contribute to a diverse mix of ecological projects. Based in the North Birmingham region, successful candidates will work as integral members of the team helping deliver a high standard and quality of work onsite.

Responsibilities:

Working independently and as part of a team undertaking ecology related fieldwork
Undertaking various protected species surveys when required
Writing survey reports
Liaising with clients, and other team members daily
Having excellent communication skills onsite
Report writing and data analysis.
Previous experience:

Experience of leading surveys including GCN, Bat, Badger, and other protected species. (ideally at least 3 years’ experience)
Good knowledge of ecological management and mitigation
Supervising and overseeing assistant/graduate ecologists
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Experience in environmental consultancy work
Qualifications:

Full or associate member of CIEEM
BSc degree in ecology or related field
CSCS card
Level 1 or 2 GCN, Bat or other protected species licences
Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle is essential.
Location: North Birmingham

Start date: June/July 2021

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
