Overview

Ecosulis has a fantastic opportunity for an Ecologist to join our ecology team and work a wide variety of projects. The successful candidate will be on site doing trapping and translocation works, providing Ecological Clerks of Works support, compiling daily documents, reporting data and reporting incidents

The candidate will need to hold at least one protected species licence, ideally for great crested newts. Preferably worked as an accredited agent under the HS2 organisational licence. The candidate will have a sound understanding of UK and European wildlife / environmental legislation and experienced in technical review and preparation of development control documents.

You will focus on projects in the Midlands and the South East.

You will have:

An ambitious and forward thinking outlook.
Have a minimum of 3-5 years relevant work experience.
Hold valid GCN species licence.
Previous experience of GCN trapping and translocation works.
Excellent report writing and communication skills.
Thorough understanding of UK legislation, planning policy and best practice.
Enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking, with good interpersonal and team motivational skills.
Be dynamic and proactive, able to use own initiative when appropriate.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Clean driving license and own transport essential.
Location: HP22 4DE

Start date: August/September 2021

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
