Overview

Greenwillows Associates Ltd is a friendly, family-run independent ecological consultancy based near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. We specialize in protected species, and habitat surveys across the East and South-East of England. The role will be hybrid so you will need to live in or near to East Anglia and visit the office around once a week. Our services also include practical habitat creation and management. Our clients range from large utility companies, developers, and architects to schools and individual homeowners.

Role Description

The hours are flexible and can include part time hours. The Ecologist will conduct protected species surveys, assessments, and habitat surveys. Responsibilities include analyzing data, preparing reports, and providing guidance on ecological best practices. The role also involves practical habitat creation and management activities, engaging with clients to ensure accurate and effective implementation of ecological solutions.

Qualifications

  • Experience in conducting protected species surveys, assessments, and habitat surveys
  • Ability to analyze data and prepare comprehensive ecological reports
  • Knowledge of practical habitat creation and management
  • Relevant ecological qualifications and certifications
  • Experience with ecological software and tools is a plus
