Ecologist | Berkshire

Overview

The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead is looking to recruit an Ecologist to join our team. This is a new post to work alongside our current Ecologist. The work is mainly planning related, providing advice to the Planning Unit on the impact of proposed development and associated mitigation. Input will also be required into the management of our sites, contributing to the formation and revision of management plans. We are keen to attract someone who can demonstrate technical excellence, is motivated and wishes to advance the protection of species and improvement of natural habitats across the Borough.

The Borough is over 80% greenbelt and there are a number of sites with statutory designations. The Council is working towards a more strategic and integrated approach in relation to nature conservation and recovery.
