Overview

Cheshire Ecological Services is recruiting a Senior Ecologist with a bat survey licence. You will undertake protected species/habitat surveys and project management (including budget control). A bat survey licence is essential and experience of bat mitigation, (i.e. appointed ecologist, accredited agent or assistant) is desirable. You will work within a dedicated and enthusiastic Projects Team, and will provide mentoring and support to less experienced team members.

The Senior Ecologist will be educated to degree level and have an excellent knowledge of basic Microsoft Office packages, be well organised, a first rate written and verbal communicator and have proven experience of working within the ecological consultancy sector (5 years + experience). A part-time post may be considered for an exceptional candidate.

This post will be based in CES’ office within Cheshire Wildlife Trust’s headquarters at Bickley Hall Farm, Bickley, Cheshire SY14 8EF. A full clean driving licence and own transport are essential in undertaking this role.
