A range of graduate opportunities are being offered by Carmarthenshire County Council. There are 10 positions within the Environment Department, offering a wide range of professional development opportunities

• Graduate Trainee – Ecologist
• Graduate Trainee – Mechanical Design
• Graduate Trainee – Surveyor Minerals And Waste
• Graduate Trainee – Building Surveyor
• Graduate Trainee – Engineering design
• Graduate Trainee – Quantity Surveyor
• Graduate Trainee – Transport
• Graduate Trainee Waste and Environmental Services

These 2 year positions are available to talented graduates who, given the opportunity, will become our professionals of the future. We particularly welcome female applicants and those from an ethnic minority, as they are currently under-represented within this service area.

Each role comprises a combination of learning through practical hands-on experience and the opportunity to study for a professional qualification. In addition there will be further professional development via in-house and external courses, seminars and workshops, plus access to mentoring from senior managers.

Graduates will be entitled to SCP18 £18,070 a year (fixed)

A basic knowledge of Welsh is required to accomplish this post. Support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
