Senior Ecologist | South East England

Arcus has an exciting opportunity for a talented Senior Ecologist with extensive ecological experience and an excellent working knowledge of ecological guidance, legislation and policy.  The successful candidate will support the Ecology Team with client-facing work on high profile development projects.

The Role:

  • Plan, co-ordinate and manage ecology surveys;
  • Conduct Ecological Impact Assessments, Habitats Regulation Appraisal and Appropriate Assessments;
  • Provide field and office support to the Ecology Team;
  • Provide advice to clients on development and construction projects; and
  • Manage projects to programme and budget.

Skills & Experience:

  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology & Environmental Management;
  • Ecological Impact Assessment report writing;
  • Client relationship management;
  • Project and team management; and
  • Protected Species Licence holder having held Development licences in your own name.
