Consultant Ecologist | Manchester

What you’ll be doing 

  • Undertaking Preliminary Ecological Appraisals on a variety of sites across the UK
  • Completing biodiversity net gain metrics
  • Undertaking protected species surveys on a variety of sites across the UK
  • Producing technical reports for a variety of Clients
  • Preparing fee quotations for Clients
  • Liaising with Clients to answer queries
  • Engagement with stakeholders and statutory consultees.

What you’ll bring 

  • At least 3 years’ experience within an ecological consultancy
  • Experience of the whole biodiversity net gain process
  • Preliminary Ecological Appraisals
  • Protected Species Surveys across a variety of sites and species
  • Report writing for Ecological Consultancy
  • Experience of office-based tasks, such as producing fee proposals, carrying out desk studies and liaising with Clients
  • A Degree/ Masters in Ecology or a related subject
  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM)
  • At least one Protected Species Licence or at least one reference for such licences would be advantageous
  • A full driving licence.
