Ground Control is embarking on an exciting journey to build and expand our Ecology team, and we’re looking to connect with passionate ecology professionals who want to play a key role in shaping its future.

Whether you’re an Assistant Ecologist looking for your next step, an experienced Ecologist ready to take on greater responsibility, or a Senior/Principal Ecologist seeking the opportunity to influence and grow a team, we’d love to hear from you.

Working alongside our established environmental, landscaping, arboriculture and infrastructure teams, you’ll have the opportunity to support a wide range of projects across the UK, helping clients deliver biodiversity improvements, rewilding initiatives, habitat creation and protected species management.

What We’re Looking For

We’re keen to speak with individuals who:

  • Hold a relevant ecology or environmental degree
  • A member of CIEEM (Qualifying, Associate, Full Membership or Chartered status)
  • Hold at least one protected species license (desirable)
  • Previous experience with field surveys (except if graduate)
  • Have excellent knowledge of UK wildlife legislation, Law and Biodiversity Net Gain
  • Produce high-quality technical reports
  • Enjoy working collaboratively with clients and colleagues
  • Have strong communication and organisational skills
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
