Overview
Never before has it been more important for children and their parents to care for the natural world and understand the wonderous processes that sustain us. In the face of a climate crisis, Studio Cultivate nurtures the next generation of nature lovers. Be part of this essential change.
Studio Cultivate works to help grow a generation that feels connected and inspired by nature. We do this through the delivery of a range of programmes designed for different ages, and with a commitment to ethical products and low carbon operations.
Kindergarden is our exciting Early Years Foundation Stage ecology education programme, packed full of play, storytelling, garden growing and creativity. Every week our Kindergarden programme engages with over 1300 children and we have established long-standing partnerships with many schools and nurseries. Pupils, parents and schools have received Kindegarden with great enthusiasm since its creation in 2015 and we are excited to be growing further across London and the south-east of England.
We are looking to recruit dynamic new team members to present our Kindergarden workshops and contribute to the programme’s growth and ethos. We welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds; educational, gender and ethnicity.
Kindergarden Facilitators visit nursery schools on a weekly basis, presenting the Kindergarden programme to small groups of up to 8 Early Years pupils. Our workshops are designed for children between the ages of 3-5, but we also regularly work with younger children. Kindergarden Facilitators use our detailed workshop plans and vibrant resources to incrementally present and build layers of pupils’ nature understanding through storytelling and a range of exciting practical activities. Facilitators help pupils enhance and take ownership of their school’s outdoor spaces through the creation of both edible and wildlife-friendly gardens. Kindergarden Facilitators use these spaces to convey many of nature’s remarkable processes.
