The opportunity:

Syngenta are searching for a talented Ecological Risk Assessor to join the team at our Jealott’s Hill International Research Centre near Bracknell.  Playing a key role in our business, this is an opportunity to demonstrate your strong understanding of ecology, ecotoxicology and ecological risk assessment.  You will ideally have a comprehensive knowledge of regulations, data requirements needs and risk assessment methods together with complementary project management and advocacy experience to provide expert and timely support to project teams.

 

Typical role requirements:

Proficiency for managing and delivering multiple projects and  providing risk assessment expertise
Ability to identify, coordinate and interpret study and assessment outputs and collaborate with colleagues across other functions to deliver results on time and to quality and costs standards
Capability to present complex information to internal and external project stakeholders and be influential in the development of technical and techno-regulatory strategies and project work plans
Aptitude to keep up to date with the latest development in areas of ecotoxicology and ecological risk assessment and identify their potential use for Syngenta

Qualifications
Education & experience:
A degree in a relevant area of science, ideally with either a higher degree or equivalent post-graduate experience relating to Ecology, Ecotoxicology or Ecological Risk Assessment
Experience of conducting ecological risk assessments
Ability to analyse complex data sets and make judgements on their potential impact
