Overview

Worcestershire County Council would like to recruit an ecologist to join our Strategic Planning and Environmental Policy team, in the Directorate of Economy and Infrastructure.

The Directorate is responsible for a wide range of issues including transport, sustainability, economic development and planning. You will be expected to take on an important role helping to ensure the delivery of high quality delivery services and work alongside our planning team to provide a wide range of ecological input to both development control and policy planning.

This exciting role will require the ecologist to undertake habitat and protected species surveys; desk study investigations and data analysis; report writing; Ecological Clerk of Works duties, ecological assessment of planning applications and assisting in the development of planning policy. You will also be part of our newly established consultancy. The consultancy is a multidisciplinary, working with a range of clients in both the public and private sectors and specialising in the historic and natural environment and green infrastructure.
