Associate Director

Associate Director Landscape Architect to share in the leadership of our established London office team, with involvement in the wider practice management and the anticipation of progression to the board and future share ownership.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with drive and commitment who will develop their own client-base and work-stream and have the opportunity to help shape the future direction of the practice. You will secure, manage and deliver projects of varying type, size and complexity, within a variety of sectors and will also have an interest and involvement in the management of the wider business.

The successful candidate will be an experienced landscape professional operating at senior level, with a wide range of project experience, including a comprehensive understanding and experience of landscape planning projects, as well as proven capability in project delivery and landscape design.

You will work alongside our London office Director and Associate to manage a team of 8, and operate as part of a wider practice of over 35 staff across four offices, offering services in landscape architecture and urban design, landscape and environmental planning, ecology and arboriculture.

Project work will typically include:
Chartered Landscape Architect (CMLI) with wide range of experience in landscape design and landscape planning project management, including LVIA, TVIA, EIA and landscape character assessment and capacity studies
Ability to lead an experienced team of technical specialists
Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills with expert witness experience an advantage
Good communication skills and positive approach to problem solving
Enthusiasm and drive to promote the profession of landscape architecture
An understanding of the financial management of consultancy is an advantage
A full UK driving licence

Experience:
A minimum of 10 years’ experience is expected, to have the skills and knowledge required to undertake this role successfully
Supervision and management of technical staff in landscape planning projects and the design, procurement and contract administration of construction projects
Client management and business development
Project management of a wide range of landscape architecture consultancy contracts
Staff management and programming of work
Involvement in financial management of projects and resources
