We have a small-team culture and deliver bespoke, creative solutions to our clients in the residential, commercial, energy and renewables sectors.
We have an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and enthusiastic ecologist to join our Ecology Team. Based out of our vibrant Cardiff office located at Atlantic Wharf, mid-way between the city center and the Bay, you will benefit from working with a multidisciplinary consultancy team and be expected to provide technical project management across a range of project sizes, types and complexities.
We are looking for a positive and solution-focussed ecologist at a Senior or Principal level, with a relevant degree and appropriate post-graduate qualification. Candidates with specialisms in bats and/or botany are particularly sought after.
The successful candidate will also have a good understanding of the current planning system and environmental legislation, have, or be eligible for, full membership with CIEEM and be willing to contribute to a supportive work environment, playing a key role in the mentoring, training and line management of junior team members, in addition to maintaining quality of output across the team.
In addition to the right qualifications and experience you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be personable, innovative and proactive. Additionally, you should be able to work effectively on your own and as part of a team, and have a full, valid UK driving licence.
