Salary: £32,486 – £36,379 per annum / 37 hours per week (5 days per week)

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our team for an Ecologist. As our Technical Advisor, you will lead the traded Somerset Ecology Services that provides ecological advice to our organisation and other councils within Somerset, as well as external customers via Service Level Agreements.

You will have the opportunity to lead and contribute to ecology-specific and wider service review / improvement projects, and develop and share learning externally as well as internally, particularly through our regular service-wide ‘Shared Learning Sessions’.

About you

We would love to hear from you if you have a strong interest and proven track record in ecology.  You will be educated to degree level or experienced to an equivalent level in this field and hold species survey licences, innovative, with an enthusiasm to learn, contribute and share. You will be customer focussed, outgoing, enthusiastic, professional and willing to drive change, with the ability to build strong relationships with our stakeholders.
