Overview

The Ecology Partnership are currently looking for a senior ecologist to join the team on a permanent basis at our office in Leatherhead, Surrey.

The role would involve managing and overseeing a wide variety of projects, both large and small in scale. The successful applicant will be able to manage projects from initial assessment to informing project design and developing appropriate mitigation as well as writing protected species licence applications. The candidate will also be expected to undertake preliminary ecological appraisals, EcIAs, and undertake a wide range of protected species survey work.

Ideally, the candidate should hold at least two Natural England survey licences and should have CIEEM membership. Applications from candidates with experience in bird survey work, analysis of large sets of bat data or experience in biodiversity net gain and using the Defra Biodiversity Metric would also be particularly welcome.

The post will offer a balance of field work and office work, with the role covering mainly the south east of England, although we do occasionally take on project work further afield.
