Overview

MacArthur Green require an enthusiastic Senior Ecologist, who shares our passion for the environment and renewable energy projects, to join our small and friendly team. Our team are super busy, and we are looking for a positive and motivated person to support our clients and the rest of the ecology team.

In terms of what we do here at MacArthur Green, we specialise in ecology, ornithology and peat services, primarily focussing on supporting renewable energy projects and grid networks. We work for some of the largest renewable developers operating in Scotland, such as Vattenfall, ScottishPower Renewables, Scottish and Southern Energy Renewables, EDF, BayWa, RES UK & Ireland and Brookfield, with projects onshore as well as offshore. We are also privileged to support statutory bodies such as The Crown Estate, the Scottish Government, Scottish Natural Heritage, Natural England and the UK Government.

We are pretty fussy about the work we take on and the people we hire. This is because MacArthur Green aims to only work with clients to deliver a positive impact for the environment and we need the right people to achieve this. We are delivering a positive impact in three ways: (1) we help projects with important environmental benefits succeed; (2) we support ecological research projects important to sustainable development, and (3) we operate a carbon negative business.

If you are a senior ecologist and MacArthur Green sounds like somewhere you would like to work, read on!
