Our ecology teams provide specialist support to internal and external clients to help protect our natural environment. We are looking for dedicated ecologists to aid us with the planning and execution of this vital work for the 2019 survey season. Should the suitable applicant apply there will be potential for these roles to become permanent.

Job Description

You will provide ecological support to a wide range of projects, working closely with other disciplines to ensure ecological objectives are delivered successfully, within budget and to-programme. This support may include survey coordination, field work and client interaction, dependent on your strengths and ambitions.

Candidate Specification

  • Degree in ecology, biology, or directly related subject
  • Proven experience of protected species and/or botanical surveys
  • Proficient in Phase 1 Habitat Surveys
  • Ability to lead ecology surveys such as great crested newts, bats or botanical
  • Relevant consultancy experience
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Must have a driving licence and when required be prepared to work/travel outside normal working hours
  • Associate or full member of CIEEM desirable
  • Protected species survey licence(s) desirable
  • Ability to use GIS desirable
