£24,606 to £27,126 / 37 hours per week

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Development Management division.  You will provide specialist advice in relation to the natural environment, including landscape, trees, biodiversity and ecology, as well as dealing with applications for works to preserved trees and hedgerows. You will also provide advice to the public and potential applicants.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and good attention to detail, along with the ability to analyse detailed information and present information and advice logically and clearly.  You will be able to work flexibly on a wide range of tasks both independently and as part of a team to meet challenging targets. A good understanding of UK and European wildlife legislation and the principles of biodiversity and ecology are essential, as well as an understanding of the characteristics of plant and tree species.

You must have a suitable qualification in a relevant discipline. A general understanding of development processes would be an advantage. There may be an opportunity to study for further qualifications in relation to the role.

The successful applicant will be required to work 37 hours per week.
