The Environmental Team provides specialist support to the South West Design Support Contract (SW DSC), in particular the completion of environmental assessment of projects, Environmental feasibility studies and scheme designs. We are now recruiting for a passionate Ecologist to join the team in Bristol.

Key Responsibilities
This role will assist the Senior Environment & Sustainability Manager and Design Team Lead to coordinate and advise on all environmental and sustainability issues across the South West DSC, with a particular focus on the northern region. The role will be a point of contact for environmental issues and will assist in implementing the sustainability strategy.

What are we looking for?

Do you have what it takes to join Kier as an Ecologist? We’re on the lookout for someone who has an Environmental/Sustainability degree (or equivalent), who is ideally a member of an environmental/sustainability institute (IEMA), and ideally working towards Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv).

In terms of your experience & knowledge, we’re asking that you have experience in Environmental & Sustainability Management, good knowledge of the environment and sustainability agenda, good knowledge of Environmental issues, best practice and associated legislation, experience in dealing with supply chain designers and contractors, as well as good presentation and persuasion skills.
