HTS (Property & Environment) Ltd provides housing repairs & maintenance and environmental services for the tenants and residents of Harlow.

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic individual, with minimum NVQ Level 4 diploma in Arboriculture or equivalent, to manage arboriculture work in Harlow and to help preserve Harlow Council`s large tree stock.

You will lead and manage an internal Arboriculture Services Team and external contractors, ensuring timely and cost effective service delivery in compliance with current Health & Safety and arboriculture regulations (particularly working at heights). Drawing on your previous experience and knowledge of trees, you will provide technical and commercial advice to Harlow Council (the Client) and make recommendations of required tree works. You will also use your expertise for insurance mitigation purposes. You will have experience in carrying out risk assessments and have awareness of COSHH. You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as you will be required to liaise with our Client, HTS Senior Management Team, Managers within HTS, contractors and the public. It will be desirable if you have previous experience in tendering for business contracts.

You will also be responsible for carrying out tree inspections, collecting and analysing related data, and producing reports, so you must be computer literate (i.e. Microsoft Office); having an experience in tree management software will be desirable. You must hold a full valid UK driving licence as you will be required to travel within Harlow.

We offer 31 days` annual leave, plus bank holidays, rising to 32 days` after 5 years and Local Government Pension Scheme.
