Ecus has an exceptional opportunity for a Consultant Ecologist to join our growing Stirling team.

Location:        Stirling

Salary:            c£23-28,500 Dependent on Experience

Type:              Permanent

We have been providing environmental consultancy services for 30 years and have a reputation for technical excellence, staff development and a great working environment.  Ecus is broadening the service offerings in each regional office to meet the needs of that region, whilst continuing to support our core ecology and EIA services to provide a platform for growth.

The company has grown significantly in recent years with over 60 employees located across five UK offices and further exciting growth plans for the business planned.

The Role

We are seeking an individual with consultancy experience who is looking to establish a career within an ambitious environmental consultancy.

As an ecologist, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of a diverse range of ecological surveys and assessments, with duties including:

*  Extended Phase 1 habitat surveys
*  Protected species surveys
*  Desk studies
*  Ecological Clerk of Works
*  Ecological assessments and EIA
*  Mitigation design and implementation
*  Producing high quality reports
*  Supporting the preparation of fee quotes and tenders
*  Maintaining client relationships

Desirable Skills & Experience

*  Educated to graduate level in a relevant subject
*  Experience of undertaking ecological surveys
*  Holder of SNH bat licence
*  GIS
*  The ability to work away from home as / when required to undertake surveys as part of a field team (all expenses paid)
*  Full driving licence
*  PTS / ICI desirable

On a personal level, we are looking for an enthusiastic and confident individual with good communication skills and the ability to fit into our friendly, lively and ambitious team. You must be prepared to work anti-social hours and away from your home office when required.

Salary & Benefits

Offering £23,000 – £28, 500 (dependent on experience)
