Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB) is leading player in the UK water sector. We are building a team to work as part of the Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water (DCWW) capital delivery alliance, delivering a £170m/yr capital programme across the DCWW region. Due to continuous growth we now have a need for an experienced ecologist to join our new team in Wrexham.

Job Description

You will be part of a dynamic ecology practice who work collaboratively to deliver ecological support.

Candidate Specification

  • Degree in ecology/ biology or directly related subject
  • Associate or Full member of CIEEM
  • Protected species survey licenses
  • Experience of undertaking ecological watching briefs on construction sites and working with site teams
  • Relevant experience connected with infrastructure schemes
  • Strong report writing skills, attention to detail and ability to write concise reports
  • Experience in liaising with design engineers to achieve positive ecological outcomes
  • Experience in preparation and writing ecological sections of environmental impact assessments and applying for SSSI Assents and HRA Screening –
    ensuring that legislative guidelines are met
  • Botany skills
  • Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel and undertake fieldwork in the UK
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Basic GIS skills
  • Proficient at bat sound analysis
