The face of BWB is changing and we want you to be part of this new and exciting chapter. Through sustained growth in the environment sector BWB is after a highly driven and motivated individual who can forge BWB’s place in the market.

We are looking for an individual to take the lead in managing our current and future work stream for Ecology.  The individual will be expected to take control of this and drive this to the next level, building on existing client relationships and establishing new ones, whilst coordinating and strengthening our technical capability.

Our diverse business is centred on seven strategically located offices including Birmingham, Leeds, London, Manchester and Nottingham.  Any of these regions will provide you with the base from which to fulfil and expand on this opportunity.

The role will include but not limited to:

Influencing the strategy for existing and future projects and growth initiatives
Client liaison to build on the existing pipeline but also to develop new client relationships and opportunities
Engagement with stakeholders and statutory consultees
Develop strong interface with internal teams to promote understanding of your discipline and other technical teams
Management and review of all technical components including fee proposals, surveys, EIA Chapters and assessments
Sound understanding and experience of Project Management and Financial Systems

About you

The successful applicant will be a principal or a proven senior looking to move into this position.  You will have a strong track record within your field and a thorough understanding of the planning and EIA process.  In addition to this you will have a detailed knowledge of standards and guidelines, UK Wildlife Legislation and up and coming changes that will affect your specialist area.

You will have:

A Degree/ Masters in your field
At least 10 years’ experience within your field
Experience in EIA
Commercial awareness and business development skills
Excellent verbal, written and communication skills and a keen eye for detail
Full membership of Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (MCIEEM)
Protected Species Licences (bats and GCN would be advantageous)
A full driving license
