Boffa Miskell is a successful ecology, planning, and design
consultancy and we have been shaping New Zealand’s environment
since 1972. We are a 100% New Zealand employee owned
firm with offices in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington,
Christchurch and Shanghai. We are big enough to attract quality
people and projects, but small enough to care for and support a
team-based work environment. We value our people and aim to

Based in our Wellington office, you will be involved in a range of
challenging and rewarding projects, including major infrastructure
projects which may require time away from the Wellington office.
You will not only be part of an experienced ecology team but also
be working alongside our urban designers, planners, cultural
advisors, landscape planners and landscape architects.
We are seeking an early career professional who has:
•
a recent Bachelors, Honours or Masters Degree in Ecology,
Environmental Science or related discipline,
•
knowledge and experience working in New Zealand
ecosystems and with New Zealand biota, with a good
understanding of applied ecology,
•
proficiency and experience in either terrestrial or aquatic field
methodologies and data collection,
•
demonstrated data management and analysis skills, including
an attention to detail,
•
interpretative report writing skills, and
•
a current, full New Zealand Drivers licence.
In addition to the skills and knowledge listed above, it is expected
that you can demonstrate the following:
•
a willingness to quickly learn new skills from others in the team,
in freshwater, marine and terrestrial environments,
•
a positive, reliable and responsive ‘can do’ attitude, coupled
with the ability to judge when to be proactive, and when to
involve someone else,
•
good interpersonal skills to enable you to contribute to inter-
disciplinary, collaborative projects, and get along with others
who have different working styles,
•
an enjoyment of working in the outdoors.
