As part of the continued growth of our established multi-disciplinary environment team in Scotland and North East England, we are looking for an environmental consultant with a background in environmental consulting background.

 

Role

 

We have a new opportunity for an Environmental Consultant to assist in a multi-disciplinary team.

The role will include:

Delivering self-managed technical work related to own specialism into projects
Preparing Environmental Statements for own specialism
Contributing to other projects using wider environmental skills and knowledge
Assisting with the coordination of EIAs and other environmental reports
Project managing small projects
Planning own workload, looking one month ahead
Producing project related correspondence and reports, including technical report writing
Client facing on projects
Contributing to bids and proposals for new work
Co-ordinating work of junior staff
Requirements and skills

 

Typically four or more years of post-graduate consultancy experience
Degree qualified in environmental science or other related field
Ideally a post-graduate qualification of MSc or higher
Current track record of working on environmental projects (onshore and/or offshore), in a consulting environment
Developing specialist skills in an environmental topic/area
Able to flex skills and approach across a wide range of project types
Studying towards professional qualification or part qualified
Project management experience, including QA procedures and financial systems
Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment
Able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills
Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal)
Highly motivated and willing to take on new challenges
